What do you get when you put wood, clay and fiber together in Hilton Coliseum? You get “Art In The Park: Octagon Style.”

Park your cars and get into another art world this Saturday at Hilton Coliseum from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., for only $3 admission.

Target Stores have donated funds to help support this community event. Target has supported Art In The Park for the past few years and the Octagon Center welcomes them back as a sponsor, a press release said.

In addition to the wide range of artwork, Mel Crippen of “Mel in the Morning” on KASI AM radio, will serve as the Master Of Ceremonies.

Art In The Park is a juried show committed to presenting the highest quality sale and exhibition of original artwork by over 150 talented artists from Iowa and the Midwest. Participation is open to all artists who exhibit work of original concept, design and execution.

The festival seeks to maintain the highest standard for both artists and the viewing public, the press release said.

“There will be tappers, belly dancers [and] entertainment from every walk of life there,” said Darlene Tope, secretary/receptionist at The Octagon Center.

Also featured at the exhibit will be a children’s art table, a variety of art demonstrations and artwork will be available for sale. Of course food and fun for the entire family will also be offered.

This Saturday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Hilton Coliseum will be the site of the fabulous and very unique “one of a kind” Art In The Park. Don’t miss out on this rare exhibit!
