For those who find summer blossoms and Mother Nature’s finery awe-inspiring, the Des Moines Botanical Center has something special to offer.
From now until July 23, the center, located at 909 East River Drive, will feature the many forms of Pseuderanthemums, colorful groups of plants native to various parts of the South Pacific.
All visitors will receive a free Pseudo Pseuderanthemum Fact Sheet containing a wealth of useful information that describes in detail the plants on display. The sheets also tell how to plant and maintain the plants in one’s own home.
The Botanical Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. College students with ID pay a mere 50 cents admission. Please call 242-2934 for more information
