Leapin’ lizards! “Tomorrow” has come true for local Iowa performers right in Des Moines. It

is Annie Warbucks, the continuation of the Annie story; it is a

trip through crime, rhyme and ragtime.

The performers, 10 women and eight men, are taking part in the Ingersoll Dinner Theater’s production of Annie Warbucks.

“It’s a really fun show! There are some neat numbers in it. It is just a delightful show,” Chuck Carnes, owner/producer of the Ingersoll Dinner Theatre, said.

This particular musical has a plot that centers around the spunky redhead, Annie, who is looking for a mother in this family-oriented tale.

The play invites the audience to follow Annie from the streets of New York to a sharecropper’s farm in Tennessee and everywhere between.

Tickets are $25 on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; Saturdays are priced at $29.50. Ticket price includes dinner. Show-only tickets are available for $17.50. Desserts and alcoholic beverages will be available.

Show dates are July 27 through August 27, with matinees August 2, 23 and 27. Those interested in reservations should call 274-4686 and mark off a day on their calendars to see this delightful continuation of the hit musical.
