Claire Anderson Lott tends the Garden of Remembrance planted outside of Iowa State’s Sloss Women’s center. Lott coordinated the fund raiser for the garden, which was planted by staff, community, and students in remembrance of women who had experienced violence in their lives, including battered women who have died.
