Bonepony to pound People’s
June 26, 1995
Hop on your baby horse and get your bones down to People’s Bar & Grill tonight for the exciting, exhilarating and upcoming band that will leave you drained: Bonepony.
Bonepony is a Southern band that looks past any kind of purism. They took to the road converting club-goers of all musical persuasions to their special brand of undeniably high-energy fusions.
Tom Zmolek, owner of People’s Bar & Grill, said, “This is a radio promotion show that we do every so often for bands. Bonepony gets a lot of radio play on KFMG103.3, but they’re not a household name yet, so basically it’s a win-win situation for everyone. The radio station gets promotion, there’s only a $1.03 cover charge and this good band gets some exposure.”
If you’re wondering more about how Bonepony’s album Stomp Revival got its name, Bonepony faced a stomping problem. “Most of the places had carpeting,” Bonepony explained in a press release, “So we’d get out our instruments and start stomping. I don’t know when was the last time you stomped for an hour on carpet, but [our] knees would swell. It made us feel bad.” Stomp Revival is the exact product of this in their debut.
Don’t miss out on a stomping good time tonight at People’s. This band has a great time on stage and will be sure to rub you the right way when you leave.
The cover is $1.03 at the door, and an ID is required.
