Iowa State runs past North Dakota State

Iowa State overpowered North Dakota State Monday night to move to 7-1 on the season. The Cyclones won, 81-59.
It was clear from the start North Dakota State was outmatched. The Bison fell behind 11-4 at the first media timeout and never held a lead. Aside from a 2-2 tie, the Cyclones led throughout the game.
Redshirt senior guard Marial Shayok led the Cyclones in the first half with 12 points (5-of-8 shooting). Redshirt junior Mike Jacobson chipped in eight points and eight rebounds in the first half, while freshman Talen Horton-Tucker had nine points. The Cyclones led 43-27 heading into the break.
Iowa State expanded upon its lead after halftime.
The Cyclones led by as many as 33 points and were able to mix in Cameron Lard and Zoran Talley Jr., who both missed the first seven games of the season with suspensions.
Shayok finished the night with 20 points. Jacobson had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Nick Weiler-Babb added 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists. George Conditt IV added five blocks.
