701 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Iowa, 18 additional deaths

701 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Iowa in the last 24 hours according to the Iowa Department of Public Health. 

18 additional deaths have also been reported, bringing the total to 777.

In Iowa, there have been 36,737 positive COVID-19 cases out of 392,212 tests.

27,353 people have recovered from the virus.

There are 195 patients hospitalized because of the virus, 30 of the patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours and 65 COVID-19 patients are in the ICU.

In Story County, 11 more people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the county’s case total to 902.

No new COVID-19 related deaths have occurred in Story County in the last 24 hours. The number of COVID-19 deaths in Story County is still at eight.
