Golf

The men’s golf team at Iowa State wrapped up the 2020-21 season with senior Tripp Kinney and junior Lachlan Barker finishing in ties for 12th and 36th at the NCAA Regionals, respectively. The best finish of the season for the team came in eighth place out of 17 teams at the Arizona Intercollegiate.

The Cyclone women were selected to play as a team at the NCAA Stanford Regional. The team finished 14th out of 18 teams at the event, capping off a strong season for the team. The season featured top-four finishes at three different events for Iowa State.

Softball

Iowa State’s 2021 softball season was certainly one to remember, as the team advanced further than ever before. A record of 34-23 was good enough for the Cyclones to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1988. After winning a pair of games at the NCAA Tournament, Iowa State reached its first Regional Final in school history.

Tennis

Iowa State tennis was among the spring sports that had one of the best seasons in team history. The team reached its first-ever NCAA Tournament and later went on to upset 24th-ranked South Carolina to advance the team to the second round. Although the team was eliminated in round two, it was a season to remember for the Cyclones, and it gives them something to build upon.

Track and field

The men’s track and field team at Iowa State finished a solid season this summer, including a second-place finish at the Big 12 Championships. The team also saw some strong performances during the NCAA events, finishing in 33rd for team points.

The women’s team finished eighth at the Big 12 Championships. While the team did not fare as well during the season, distance runner Cailie Logue finished in 14th in the 10k at the NCAA Championships.
