The 2021 NFL Draft has come and gone, but there are some former Cyclones with who earned their chance to be picked up as undrafted free agents.

Dylan Soehner (New Orleans Saints)

After going undrafted, Soehner signed a rookie free agent deal with the New Orleans Saints.

The six-foot-seven Soehner found his role as a primary blocking tight end in Tom Manning’s offense, but showed his ability to catch passes in shallow crosses and play action.

Soehner told reporters on March 23 he talked with the Saints’ tight end coaches at his Pro Day.

JaQuan Bailey (Philadelphia Eagles)

Iowa State’s all-time sack (25.5) and tackles-for-loss leader (44.5) is headed East after the Philadelphia Eagles signed him to a rookie free agent deal.

Lawrence White

White signed a rookie free agent deal with the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While he didn’t produce many interceptions in his Iowa State career as a free safety, White showed consistency wrapping up and tackling.

White ran an unofficial 4.51 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day.

Landen Akers

The Los Angeles Rams have signed Landen Akers to a rookie free agent deal.

Akers found himself in a special teams role in his Cyclone career and worked in as a member on Iowa State’s wide receiver depth chart.
