The Cyclone gymnastics squad will return to the road as they head to Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday. Iowa State will compete in the NC State Quad-Meet, its second quad-meet of the season.
Thus far, the Cyclones have failed to claim a win in non-one-on-one competition. They placed third in their first quad-meet and second in both of their tri-meets.
Iowa State sits at No. 32 after the team has failed to collect an overall win since the end of January. The Cyclones sit at 5-8 prior to the NC State Quad-Meet.
As a team, the Cyclones average 196.063 points per meet. This average is led by Noelle Adams, the freshman three-event performer, and Hannah Loyim, the designated all-arounder.
On the other side of the meet, the Cyclones will face host team No. 24 NC State, Northern Illinois and Temple.
NC State enters on the longest win streak of the four teams with six straight wins to improve to 6-4, and have not lost a meet since the first win on Jan. 19. All six of these wins came within the ACC Conference, making the team undefeated in conference play.
Northern Illinois enters on a three-meet win streak and boast a record of 7-8-1. Norther Illinois, however, only has a single road win, which happened back on Jan. 13 at Bowling Green.
Temple enters the quad-meet at an even 9-9, making the team also the most experienced team present in Raleigh on Saturday. Temple is coming off of a second-place finish at the Towson Tri-Meet.
The NC State Quad-Meet will start the first rotation at 3 p.m. Saturday and will stream via ACC Network through ESPN.
