The Brunnier Art Museum will host their 50-year anniversary video watch party in the Scheman Building from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
“Join Duane Reeves, assistant vice president for Auxiliary Enterprise, and University Museums staff to kick off the 50th anniversary with a live watch party of the 50-year video documentary,” states the Brunnier Museum website.
The film will include interviews and memories from donors, former staff, interns and the people who have helped shape University Museums into the heart of art on campus. The museum will also offer virtual viewings on YouTube and Facebook.
“We are very excited to be able to premier the final cut of this fantastic video that has been nearly four years in the making and celebrates 50 years of University Museums at Iowa State University,” said Adrienne Gennett, Museum Curator III. “The video will remind all of the impact of University Museums in enhancing the lives and education of Iowa State students, and how much more the Museums hope to achieve in the future.”
The video will include the thoughts and memories of the many people who supported the installation of art on campus, stated Gennett.
Guests who plan on attending in person can park for free for the duration of the event in parking lot F, which can be entered from Beach Avenue or Center Drive, and is located between C.Y. Stephens Auditorium and Fisher Theater.
