It has been nearly two months since President Biden dropped out of the presidential race. This, of course, happened only after a debate performance so disastrous that both the media and Biden’s political allies (often synonymous) had no other choice but to acknowledge the reality many on the right had been saying for years.
President Biden is unfit to hold any office, let alone be the leader of the free world, holding the lives of more than 300 million Americans in his hands.
His withdrawal letter did not state his precise reasons for withdrawing. It merely said he believed it was in the “best interest” of his “party and the country” to end his campaign. Instead of running for reelection, he would allegedly focus his time on fulfilling his duties as president. Apparently, his duties include sitting on a beach in Delaware while Hamas still holds American hostages. Such an arduous schedule.
The chief question that the press ought to be pursuing is this: What was the president’s justification for ending his campaign? After all, he won 3,861 delegates, so he better have a good excuse.
If his reason for withdrawing is because of his inability to produce coherent thoughts, then he has no business occupying the oval office. If, instead, his excuse for leaving the race is that a bunch of Washington elites pushed him out, then neither he nor any of his allies have any business repeating the old “respect for democracy” bit.
Even if this administration refuses to admit it, anybody with eyes can see it was a combination of both. Glimpses of Biden’s mental decline are on full display in his every appearance.
Whether it be in press conferences or speeches, he’s unintelligible. What’s more, he only withdrew after dozens of leaks to the press, in addition to public and private calls from Democratic lawmakers to leave the race.
The praise Biden has received for “giving up power” is just kayfabe. There was no power given up. He was going to lose the election. He has not resigned. If the entire establishment had not publicly exposed the emperor for having no clothes, the facade would still be going on. As Adam Smith said, “Those who taught it were by no means such fools as they who believed it.”
If only there were a constitutionally-protected industry designed to investigate this scandalous time in the Biden Administration. However, journalists are likely preoccupied with Vice President Harris’s campaign of ‘joy,’ so we may never know what exactly has transpired. For Jill’s sake, she better hope history is kinder to her than it has been to Edith Wilson.
