If you’re looking for an ap-‘peeling’ night this semester, then look no further, because The Banana Bar Crawl is coming to Ames.
Thursday, Oct. 10, will not be your typical night out with friends. From 7-11 p.m., Ames is hosting the original Banana Bar Crawl presented by Happy Dad and seen all around the world. Each $25 ticket includes entry to all participating venues (AJ’s Ultra Lounge, Mickey’s Irish Pub, BNC Fieldhouse, Cy’s Roost, Paddy’s Irish Pub, Sips, Outlaws), your very own iconic banana suit to wear all night, exclusive drink deals and a chance to win amazing prizes from The Banana Bar Crawl, Happy Dad, SharpStakes and GuestList.
The Banana Bar Crawl takes place in cities in Canada as well as the United States and is a highly sought out event. For just $25, students and young adults around the country have partaken in this iconic event and have had the time of their lives.
It is “the first time for this event” and “different than what is normally held in Ames,” according to Michael Paige, a marketing assistant at AJ’s Ultra Lounge. The bars listed above are preparing for the event and expecting a large turnout as they gear up for the Halloween season.
