ISU mens cross country team finished in fourth at Nuttycombe

The Iowa State Cyclones men’s cross country team finished in fourth place this afternoon at the Nuttycombe. The fouth-place finish is the best finish by a Cyclone team at the Nuttycombe Invitational in school history.

All-American Edwin Kurgat finished runner-up individually, taking second place in a time of 23:17.6, which was just one second off the pace set by Winner Morgan Mcdonald.

Iowa State received top-40 performances from three other runners. Senior Festus Lagat took 21st in a time of 23:44.5, while All-American Andrew Jordan finished in 29th with a time of 23:50.9. Senior Dan Curts was the fourth Cyclone to finish in the top-40, posting a 34th-place finish in 23:53.2. Sophomore Milo Greder took 66th in a time of 24:12.1. Cyclone rookie Chad Johnson finished in 116th place to finish with a time of 24:34.4.
