Reiman Gardens will celebrate its 30th anniversary Thursday by hosting a lecture and sneak peek into what they have in store for 2025. The lecture is planned to run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The lecture is titled “Reiman Gardens Sneak Peek 2025: Picture Perfect: Celebrating 30 Years of Beauty at Reiman Gardens.”
Sara Merritt, the director of education for the gardens, will present the lecture.
The event will be held in the Garden Room of Reiman Gardens.
“The night will include stunning summer displays, unforgettable events, engaging educational programs and more,” according to Reiman Gardens’ Facebook.
The lecture highlights years of beauty and celebration and looks forward to what is next.
There will be no cost to attend this lecture as it is funded and sponsored by Reiman Gardens and the Committee on Lectures (funded by Student Government). There is also no requirement to preregister.
In 1995, Reiman Gardens opened and has since been expanded from five acres to 17 acres of property.
“The Reimans generously gave $1.3 million to initiate phase one of the new gardens,” according to the Reiman Gardens’ website. “Construction began in 1994, which included transplanting many collections from the old horticultural gardens to the new Reiman Gardens.”
