The Main Street of Ames will host a margarita bar crawl Thursday night. At least eight bars in the Main Street area will offer their best margaritas to crawlers. 

The event is known as the “Feelin’ Salty? Downtown Margarita Pub Crawl” and there is no required registration or cost to participate in the event.

“Every year we put on a super fun downtown margarita pub crawl where your favorite bartenders flex their muscles and offer you their best margarita recipes,” Della Viti Wine & Cocktail Bar wrote on social media.

The aim of the crawl is to pick which bar has the best margaritas in Ames. To vote, pick up a valid voting card from any participating location when the night begins and go to at least three different participating bars. Stamp the card at each bar after trying the bar’s best margarita recipes.

Turn in a finished voting card to Della Viti by 9 p.m. Thursday night. Join them as the results roll in live.

The participating bars include Della Viti, Sweet Caroline’s, Noir, Whiskey River, Sam’s Place, Cornbred, London Underground and Time Out.

This crawl was previously planned for Feb. 20 and was cancelled due to frigid weather conditions. This Thursday is the make-up date.
