Cyclones add 2019 wide receiver commit

The Cyclones added their eighth football recruit of the 2019 cycle on Friday with the commitment of wide receiver Nathaniel Beal lll. 

Alex Halsted of 247 had the news first

Beal, a Houston, Texas, native, is a three-star recruit as ranked by the 247Sports composite. He is the 107th-ranked player in the state of Texas. 

Beal was mainly recruited by running backs coach Nate Scheelhaase, and Scheelhaase couldn’t contain his excitement before Beal made his commitment official. 

Beal is the third wide receiver in the Cyclones’ 2019 class, joining prior commits Darien Porter and D’Shayne James. Five of the eight commits are on the offensive side of the ball. 

According to 247Sports, Beal’s commitment moves Iowa State up to 30th in the country and fourth in the Big 12 in the team recruiting rankings.
