Two Iowa State softball players named to All-Big 12 Second Team

Two Cyclone softball players were named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, it was announced on Wednesday.

Senior infielder Nychole Antillon and sophomore infielder Sami Williams both received second-team honors from the conference. This is the second straight year that Williams has found her way onto the All-Big 12 Second Team. 

Williams is batting .384 this season, leading the team in batting average. Williams has 11 home runs and 26 RBIs to go along with 12 stolen bases on 12 attempts.

Antillon, a senior, is batting .284 from the plate and is tied with Williams at 26 RBIs on the season. She has started 52 games this season and is fourth on the team with a .480 slugging percentage. 

The announcement comes two days before the Cyclones begin play at the Big 12 Championships in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 11. The Cyclones will play Texas at 11 a.m. on Friday.
