This Friday, April 6, ISU AfterDark will host comedian James Davis and former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. Both acts will be performing in the Great Hall in the Memorial union. Davis performs at 9 p.m, and Bristowe will appear at 11 p.m.

Davis is known for his time on Hood Adjacent with James Davis, As Lathair and The Late Late Show with James Corden. According to IMDB, Davis included comedy the American suburbs and today’s celebrities. According and interview with the New York Times, Davis “addresses the serious issues at hand: racial profiling.”

“It’s a fun game to trick people into the conversation,” he said. “Instead of bringing it hard core to their door, you subtly reel them in through the clever comedy piece,” said Davis to The New York Times.

Bristowe was on season 11 of The Bachelorette, ending up with Shawn Booth. Since The Bachelorette, Bristowe has hosted a broadway show, “Home for the Holidays” and hosts a podcast entitled Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Both events are free to Iowa State students and their guests.
