Cyclone divers finished one-meter board in day one

The Iowa State Dive Team shows off their moves against South Dakota and Texas.

On the first day of the Zone Diving Championship, Iowa State divers competed in the women’s one-meter board with 43 other divers.

In the preliminary, Dana Liva placed 28th with a score of 246.75. Sydney Ronald finished tied for 38th place with a 220.30 score. Both divers did not qualify for the final of one-meter board.

Liva and Ronald will be back in Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center tomorrow at 11 a.m. for the three-meter board competition.
