New year, new stuff to stream on Netflix!

Netflix is known for constantly adding and removing popular titles (R.I.P. “How I Met Your Mother”) on a monthly basis. However, for every quality title that is removed, there are easily a couple more that are added for Netflix’s 100+ million users to enjoy.

Here is what, and when, you can view new content on Netflix.

The Truman Show (Available Now)

Jim Carrey’s acclaimed 1998 satirical drama takes influence from a variety of genres, creating one of the most interesting movie experiences of the late ’90s. If you haven’t had a chance to check this out yet, we highly recommend it.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (Available Now)

Jerry Seinfeld’s web series about driving and getting coffee with a rotating set of guest comedians is returning for a 10th season on Netflix. Originally distributed via Crackle for the first nine seasons, the show has seen the likes of Jon Stewart, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, and even Barrack Obama. A majority of episodes from past seasons are also available via Netflix.

The Godfather Trilogy (Available Now)

Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic crime film trilogy is brutal, extremely long and one of the most acclaimed films of all time. If you haven’t had the chance to see this influential trilogy, now is your time to do it. Maybe do it in multiple sittings, though.

National Treasure (Available Now)

Considered by some to be one of Nicholas Cage’s only quality performances, “National Treasure,” if you haven’t seen it yet, is a fun family adventure with enough ambition to charm its viewers. It’s absolutely ridiculous at parts, but what would a Nick Cage movie be without a little bit of cheese?

King Kong (2005) (Available Now)

Remember how hyped “The Lord of the Rings” was in the early 2000s? Realistically, probably now since a majority of us were too young to realize it. However, having Peter Jackson himself take the reigns for a modern re-imagining of “King Kong” seems like a match made in heaven. Jackson’s ambition brought Skull Island to life in an exhilarating, if long, adventure.

The Conjuring (Jan. 8)

Do you like horror films? James Wan’s 2013 release is not only one of the most financially successful films of the genre ever made, but is also widely considered one of the best modern horror films. Full of genuine scares and beautiful directing, you can’t go wrong with “The Conjuring” if you’re looking for quality frights.

Cars 3 (Jan. 31)

What is there to say about “Cars 3”? You probably already know if you’ll like this one. The third film in the Pixar series was about as good as the original, but that isn’t saying much when talking about debatably Pixar’s weakest franchise. The animation looks nice, but the writing and directing is just fine.
