Iowa State stays out of the College Football Playoff poll

After a 23-13 win at Baylor, the Iowa State football team stays out of the College Football Playoff poll for a second straight week.

The Cyclones were first ranked at No. 15 after defeating then-No. 4 TCU on Oct. 28. A week later, after losing 20-16 at West Virginia on Nov. 4, Iowa State dropped to No. 21 in the poll.

Then, Iowa State reached its second straight loss falling 49-42 against Oklahoma State on Nov. 11, resulting in the Cyclones dropping out of the CFP poll last week.

After being two spots short of reaching the AP Top 25 poll on Sunday, the Cyclones fall short again tonight by not being ranked in the CFP poll.

Iowa State will play at Kansas State on Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2 to finish out the regular season.
