This afternoon, Iowa State football had its latest commitment for the class of 2018 with V’Lique Carter, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida. 

Carter is a three-star defensive back from Oxbridge Academy, according to 247Sports Composite. He’s also ranked 133rd overall at the safety position.

He also reportedly received offers from Oklahoma, Purdue and UCF, but chose Iowa State in the end. Carter has 49 tackles and four interceptions this season as a senior. 

Carter’s commitment brings Iowa State’s class of 2018 total to 17.
