Vienna Boys Choir comes to Ames

With over 500 years of history since being founded, the world-famous Vienna Boys Choir is coming to Stephens Auditorium. They will be performing Tuesday Nov. 14 at 7:30 P.M.
This show is part of the 47 city tour with the conductor Manolo Cagnin. The concert, “Bella Italia” will be celebrating the musicians and music of beautiful Italy.
The choir performs songs that vary from medieval to contemporary, With the majority of them being motets and lieders. The choir also includes world music and children’s operas.
Vienna Boys Choir consists of 100 members from all over the world in the four touring choirs. The members are between nine and fourteen. With each choir performing about 300 shows a year, they attract almost half a million viewers around the globe. Since 1926 the choir has performed 1,000 tours in 97 countries.
