Approximately 2,600 people in Ames are without power due to the Ames Plant substation. 

The City of Ames first tweeted about the issue at 12:45 p.m. Saturday. 

Crews are working to fix the problem, according to the City of Ames’ Twitter. 

Businesses affected include Applebee’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, ALDI and Walmart.
