Assistant men’s basketball coaches receive contract extensions

All three of Iowa State’s men’s basketball assistant coaches received one-year extensions and $20,000 raises, according to a report from Travis Hines of the Ames Tribune.

The new deals will keep the assistant coaches on staff through June 2018. All assistant coaches have been on one-year contracts throughout head coach Steve Prohm’s time at Iowa State.

William Small and Daniyal Robinson will both make $265,000 next year, up from the $245,000 they made this year.

Neill Berry, who made $200,000 on his previous contract, will make $220,000 on his new deal.

Additionally, special assistant to the head coach David Hobbs received a $10,000 raise and will make $150,000. Director of basketball operations Micah Byars, who has been with Iowa State since 2011, received a $10,000 raise and will make $145,000.
