How to watch former Cyclones in the NBA Summer League

At least six former Cyclone basketball players will play in the NBA Summer League this July.
Additionally, former Cyclones Georges Niang and Abdel Nader will play for the teams that drafted them in 2016. Niang will reunite with Mitrou-Long for the Indiana Pacers and Nader will play with the Boston Celtics.

July 1
12 p.m. – Indiana Pacers vs. Orlando Magic (NBA TV)
Cyclones included: Mitrou-Long, Niang
This is the first game involving an Iowa State player during the Summer League. Georges Niang and Naz Mitrou-Long will have a chance to play together for the first time since December 10, 2015 when Iowa State completed a 20-point second half comeback to beat Iowa, 83-82.
July 2

4 p.m. Indiana Pacers vs. Charlotte Hornets (NBA TV)
July 3
Cyclones included: Mitrou-Long, Niang, Nader
4 p.m. Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat (NBA TV)
6 p.m. Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers (NBA TV)
This is the first game played outside of Orlando in the 2017 Summer League. Former Cyclone Abdel Nader will try to make a name for himself with the Celtics this year after being named Rookie of the Year in the NBA D-League last season.
July 4

2 p.m. Indiana Pacers vs. Dallas Mavericks (NBA TV)
While the rest of the nation is watching the Nathan’s hot dog eating competition, Mitrou-Long and Niang will be wrapping up the Orlando Summer League schedule. The Mavericks, who actually play in both the Orlando and Las Vegas Summer Leagues, may throw former Iowa Hawkeye Jarrod Uthoff into the game.
July 5

6 p.m. Boston Celtics vs. San Antonio Spurs (NBA TV)
July 6
Cyclones included: Nader
8 p.m. Boston Celtics vs. Utah Jazz (NBA TV)
The shortest Summer League of them all is the Salt Lake City league, which consists of just three games for Boston. The Celtics will play in Las Vegas following this game against Utah.
July 7
Cyclones included: Thomas, Morris, Mitrou-Long
6 p.m. Toronto Raptors vs. New Orleans Pelicans (NBA TV)
Former Iowa State sharpshooter Matt Thomas will get his professional career underway in this game. The Raptors ranked No. 21 of 30 NBA teams in made 3-pointers last year.
9 p.m. Denver Nuggets vs. Houston Rockets (NBA TV)
The only Cyclone selected in this year’s NBA Draft, Monte Morris will make his debut for the Denver Nuggets after he was picked No. 51 overall.
9:30 p.m. Sacramento Kings vs. Phoenix Suns (ESPN2)
Naz Mitrou-Long begins play for his second team of the summer — the Sacramento Kings.
July 8
Cyclones included: Thomas, Burton, Nader
5:30 p.m. Toronto Raptors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA TV)
This game not only features Matt Thomas for the Raptors, it also includes Deonte Burton making his debut for Minnesota. Burton, who went undrafted, will have a chance to make the Timberwolves roster. The Timberwolves had the worst bench in the NBA in 2016-17.

July 9

5:30 Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (ESPN2)
Morris and Burton will go head-to-head for the first time.
7:30 Boston Celtics vs. Portland Trail Blazers (ESPN2)
9 p.m. Sacramento Kings vs. Memphis Grizzlies (NBA TV)
July 10

7 p.m. Denver Nuggets vs. Toronto Raptors (ESPNU)
The lone freshmen members of Iowa State’s 2013 recruiting class, Morris and Thomas left as the winningest duo in school history. On July 10, they will face each other for the first time as professionals.
9:30 p.m. Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers (NBA TV)
July 11

7:30 p.m. Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Golden State Warriors (ESPN2)
The final game of the Summer League’s regular season will give Deonte Burton a chance to showcase his ability against the defending NBA champions.
