May 29, 2017
Tonight, downtown Ames’ annual ArtWalk, an event to showcase downtown business and community culture, will be happening. The event will take place on June 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Main Street and several other side streets, involving Kellogg, Douglas and Clark.
A self-guided walking tour of downtown will be offered to showcase artists and organizations participating in the event. Visitors can make art in Youth Standing Strong. Sidewalk chalk art for children will be offered by Depot Deli. The paint and sip presented by Della Viti will be hosted for adults. Visitors can also witness the unveiling of the new public piano in Tom Evans Plaza, or just admire a few of the seven sculptures selected this year.
The event is presented by Stoltze and Stoltze Family Dentistry, Ames Conventions and Visitors Bureau, Wells Fargo, as well as the Ames Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
