Iowa State wrestling has had such a jam-packed summer that head coach Kevin Dresser released a second May newsletter. You can read the newsletter here.

After Dresser announced the home meets in his previous newsletter, he and assistant coach Mike Zadick talked more about his wrestlers and their results in the US Open National Championships. Dresser also gave more insight to the potential meet dates.

The Cyclones had three former alumni wrestlers competing in the senior level. 213 lb. Kyven Gadson won his class, while Dom Bradley finished third in his class. Heavyweight Ben Durbin also finished eighth.

Iowa State had seven current student-athletes competing for a spot on the Junior World Team. Kanen Storr was able to finish in second place along with a third place finish by Sam Colbray, qualifying both for the World Team Trials.

The Cyclones also have 19 wrestlers competing in the University FS Nationals from June 2-4. Storr and Colbray will be competing in the following weekend in the World Team Trials in Lincoln, Nebraska.
