Veteran folk singer/producer Joshua James performing at M Shop

Folk artist/producer Joshua James will be performing at the Maintenance Shop on Sunday at 7 p.m. with friend and fellow artist Timmy the Teeth.

James is a folk artist who has been performing since 2003 with his first ever album, B-Sides: It’s Dark Outside, releasing in 2006. He has since released four albums, including Build Me This, as well as five EPs.

However, James is not just an artist, he has also produced for a number of different artists. He helped found Northplatte Records in 2006 and also owns Willamette MTN Farms & Studio. He has produced songs since 2009, including of couple of, opener, Timmy the Teeth’s.

James’s music is primarily folk based and can be compared to John Mayer and Noah Gundersen. Most popularly, he, along with various other artists, worked on a song, “The Age of Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In,” that was featured in the critically acclaimed TV Show, Sons of Anarchy.
