Week three reflections: Jake Dalbey

This week’s happiness experiment was much less of a lifestyle change for me personally. I generally exercise at least 4 to 5 days a week for around an hour, usually revolving around running.

So while this wasn’t much of a change it did allow for me to think about how exercise affects me emotionally and physically. Obviously being active is good for the body in terms of staying healthy but I also think it does a great job of keeping me alert and awake. Especially exercising in the morning leads me to feel more able to take on the day.

Along with this, being active feels awesome emotionally. If I’m stressed with school, going on a run or just a walk helps to get rid of lingering thoughts. This is by far my favorite week so far and do see it as a positively affecting my happiness.
