Iowa State of Mind reflection: Davis Hall

What was your overall experience? How did you feel about consciously engaging in different activities with a goal of promoting happiness in your life?

It was a good experience overall and I think that it helped me get through this last month of gut wrenching work. Though some of it made me uncomfortable, overall it was worth it

–       Which activity or activities were the most helpful for you? Why?

Probably the extra 30 minutes of exercise. It allows me to get more energy out and take my mind off of school and other responsibilities

–       Might you try to carry any of these ideas or activities into the future? Why or why not?

No. It was a good experience but I think trying to keep up these unnatural habits would take its toll on me sooner or later

–       Would you recommend any of these activities to your friends or families? Why or why not?

Maybe for a short period of time because I think that these unnatural acts that you normally wouldn’t do would more than likely wear on you sooner or later

–       Based on your experiences over the past few weeks, are there any activities or ideas that you would like to try to see how they may influence your happiness?

Ehhhhhhh, nah.

–       Are there any final words you’d like to share with the audience about this experience?

It’s valuable to have as an experience. Especially reflecting on the things that you are thankful for and looking forward too. It can really brighten your mood and help you make the most out of every day and even doing these activities for a month would help.
