Five former Iowa State football players signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents following the NFL Draft, which concluded Saturday.

Defensive tackle Jhaustin Thomas and defensive back Jomal Wiltz signed immediately after the draft ended with the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.

Wiltz was named honorable mention All-Big 12 following his senior season in 2016. He intercepted two passes for the Cyclones. Wiltz, who is also a member of the track team at Iowa State, will likely try to find a role on special teams.

Thomas moved from defensive end to defensive tackle in 2016 and was named second team All-Big 12 after leading Iowa State with 9.5 tackles for loss.

Cornerback Nigel Tribune signed with the New York Giants on Sunday. Offensive lineman Nick Fett will get a try out with the Minnesota Vikings and defensive tackle Demond Tucker will attend camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Iowa State announced on Monday.

Tribune started 29 games for Iowa State and finished with 145 tackles, 27 passes defended and four interceptions for his career.

Fett was second team All-Big 12 in 2016, making starts at three different positions across the offensive line.

Tucker was the 2015 Defensive Newcomer of the Year in the Big 12 and earned All-Big 12 honors in both of his seasons at Iowa State.

This was the third consecutive year in which no Iowa State players were selected in the NFL Draft.
