5 essential shoes to any woman’s closet

Madison Pincombe's Pick: Espadrilles

I just got this pair of shoes and they are so comfortable, cute, and practical. They can be paired with so many different pieces to create a completely different feel. Espadrilles are the perfect combination of a flat and a sandal!

There are not a whole lot of things that a woman likes more than her shoes. According to the Huffington Post, women on average own about 20 pairs of shoes, but only wear five of those pairs on a regular basis.

These five essential pairs of shoes can allow for more closet space, and overall decluttering.

Tennis shoes– These are a must-keep. Tennis shoes are necessary for activities like working out, a busy day on your feet at the office, or practically anything relating to physical activity.

Classic Heels– The classic heel is great for anything professional. It could be a work event, a nice dinner out or a weekend getaway. Find a classy pair that will last several years.

Flats/Sandals– Every woman needs a pair of flats or sandals. Special occasions may not always call for wearing heels. For example, foot pain may make wearing heels even more uncomfortable. This makes flats nice for everyday type of wear, errand running or work.

Boots/Booties– For the winter and fall months a pair of tall boots or ankle boots (booties) are essential. They can add a cute touch to any outfit, and some pairs are very comfortable.

Casual Sneakers– A pair of casual sneakers is great to have on hand as a part of a shoe collection. They are an easy throw-on type of shoe and great for practically anything. Some popular brands are Vans, Converse and Superga.
