Artist Joe Patrick will discuss the impermanence and parallels found in his paintings and drawings that are on exhibition in the Brunnier Art Museum during a lecture Wednesday night.

The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Brunnier Art Museum in 295 Scheman Building.

Patrick’s work includes portraits of friends and colleagues and observe a moment in time, according to the Iowa State events website. Other paintings of his focus on the haphazard structures located in the Oaxaca, Mexico, marketplaces. 

The lecture will also include gallery walk and will be free to attend.
