After this long and windy winter, we’re all ready to break up with our winter coats and embrace spring. But with the confusing nature of the season, people can find themselves going back and forth between the different types of outerwear.

It’s too chilly to simply ditch the coat, but you don’t want to get caught lugging it around as the day warms up.

Savanna Sylvis, sophomore in apparel, merchandising and design, may have found the perfect solution to this dilemma: a nude trench coat.

“It’s basically a winter jacket,” she said. “The material is not as heavy or stiff, just comfortable.”

Along with the practical uses, the nude coat is also a versatile piece. It can be dressed up or down to fit the occasion without the worry of clashing color schemes. Sylvis’ outfit of choice is a pair of black ripped jeans, black booties, matching choker and a plain white or black shirt. Sylvis found her coat at Primp.
