Trump’s Inauguration – Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
- Multicultural Liaison Officer event– The MLOs organized an event to allow students to come and get to know the officers. The MLOs are available for anything from academic help to personal advice.

Dance Marathon – Iowa State students danced for a cause this weekend as the annual Dance Marathon event took place Friday and Saturday in the Memorial Union.

Saturday – 1/21
- Women’s March – Women from all over the country marched in order to send a message of unity to people all across the world.
- Photos from the Women’s March that took place in downtown Des Moines, where many Iowa State students joined the event.

Men’s Basketball beats Oklahoma in double-overtime – The Cyclones were in Norman, Oklahoma, on Saturday to battle against the Oklahoma Sooners. The men battled in double-overtime to pull out a huge win and beat the Sooners 92-87.

Women’s Basketball beats #22 Kansas State – The Cyclones were out to beat No. 22 Kansas State at home after a five-year losing streak against the Wildcats. The women grabbed their second conference win of the season after beating the Wildcats 75-69.
- No. 8 Cyclones Hockey loses against #9 Jamestown Jimmies – The Cyclones lost both games this weekend at their home arena; they have lost five games in a row and are looking to turn it around in their upcoming games.
- Veterans were honored at the game and ROTC members took part in a few events to give the crowd some entertainment.
