The Iowa State University department of music and theatre will host the 52nd annual Madrigal Dinner on Friday and Saturday.

The Great Hall of the Memorial Union will be transformed into a candlelit 17th century banquet hall with the ambiance of a renaissance court.

This royal banquet will include graceful dancers, playful jesters, strolling musicians, frolicking fools and gallivanting wenches, according to a mailer from the music department.

Attendees are encouraged to participate when possible and get to know the other members at their table.

The event will begin both nights with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Admission for Iowa State students is $46, and regular admission is $50. The event will be presented in cooperation with the Story County Pork Producers Association. The entertainment will be provided by the Iowa State Singers, Musica Antiqua, Shy of a Dozen and Orchesis II Dancers.
