The Iowa State Police responded to a call of reported collision near Wallace Avenue and Union Drive at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 11 that involved a CyRide bus and two other vehicles.

According to ISU police, a pickup truck ran into the back of a car forcing it under the rear end of the CyRide bus involved. There were no reported injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was reported to be distracted causing him to brake late.

The incident is still under investigation by CyRide and damages are still being assessed. The ISU PD reported that there were minimal damages to the bus.

The car that was forced under the bus received the most damage causing airbags to be deployed.

CyRide tried its best to minimize delays that are inevitable with an incident such as this. Those present on the bus during the incident were given transportation to their destinations. The roads are reported to now be clear.
