Paul Rhoads promoted to defensive coordinator at Arkansas

Former Iowa State football coach Paul Rhoads was promoted to defensive coordinator at Arkansas, Razorback coach Bret Bielema tweeted late Monday night.
Rhoads, who was the head coach at Iowa State from 2009-15, was hired as the defensive backs coach at Arkansas prior to the 2016 season. Rhoads previously served as the defensive coordinator at Pittsburgh (2000-07) and Auburn (2008) before coming to Ames.

In his seven seasons at Iowa State, Rhoads finished with a 32-55 record, including one bowl win in three postseason appearances.
