Tax help for Iowa State students

With W-2 forms being sent out, many college students are realizing they do not know how to do their own taxes. Have no fear, according to the Iowa State College of Business website, Iowa State accounting students are volunteering to help.
Who?
Iowa State accounting students will be offering tax help services through the IRS Volunteer Tax Assistance (VITA)
When?
Every Monday and Wednesday from February 13 through April 10.
Monday Sessions will be 4:10 to 6:25 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:45 p.m.
Wednesday sessions will be 4:10 to 6:25p.m.
Appointments can be made at isuvita.setmore.com. Hurry though, they recommend to make appointments four weeks prior to the desired appointment date.
Where?
Room 1127 in the Gerdin Business Building.
Who is eligible?
Households with incomes $54,000 or less.
What to bring
- Proof of identification
- Social security cards for you, your spouse, and any dependents.
- Wage and earing statements (W-2, W-2G and 1099-R)
- Interest and dividend statements from banks
- A copy of last year’s Federal and State returns (if possible)
- Bank routing numbers and account numbers
Know if you are being claimed as a dependent on another person’s taxes
