Summer is right around the corner. When it’s hot outside, most people want to be comfortable but look put together at the same time. There are so many cute, fun summer trends this season to put in a casual outfit. Here are some easy outfit combinations that still makes it look like you put in effort.

Women:

1. Jean shorts

Denim is in this season. You can pair so much with a cute pair of denim shorts or even a buttoned denim skirt. You can pair high waisted shorts with a casual, comfy and light vintage t-shirt. A pair of gladiator sandals will complete this look.

You can DIY your own shorts, too. If you have an old pair of jeans that are too short on you, grab a pair of scissors and cut them at the length you prefer. Cut at a curve, with more length in the back. You can add rips to the shorts as well.

2. T-shirt dresses

When it’s super hot, I like to wear flowy and light clothing items. A t-shirt dress is perfect for those days. Pairing these dresses with a fun sun hat is great for when you’re outside soaking up the sun. Pair this dress with some casual sneakers and you’re ready for the day. Adidas Superstar shoes are back in style!

3. Lace

Lace is both light and elegant. Although we are sticking to the casual theme, you can still incorporate lace into your outfit. Loose, wispy, lace shorts are great for the really hot days. For a shirt, pair with a plain colored top to balance the lace pattern on the shorts. Grab a pair of sandals to tie this outfit together.

Men:

1. Pastels

Who says real men don’t wear pink? Baby blues, coral or a pastel yellow are great to wear this summer. A casual, pastel color t-shirt can be paired with many bottoms, including khaki shorts or white pants. For shoes, go with a pair of loafers. These shoes are both stylish and comfy to walk around in.

2. Denim

Women aren’t the only ones who will be pulling off denim this season. Denim speaks casual. Pairing a denim long sleeve shirt or collared short sleeve with any bottoms is a perfect summer outfit. For shoes, a pair of comfortable sneakers will look and feel great for walking around in.

3. Floral print

You could dress this either up or down. Floral shorts with a plain colored top will make a statement when you’re out and about. It’s a comfy yet bold outfit. Pair this with loafers and you’ll be good to go.
