Dan Tedesco, Dylan Boyle to perform at DG’s Tap House
March 30, 2016
Dan Tedesco and Dylan Boyle will perform at DG’s Tap House at 6 p.m. Friday. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is $5 at the door.
Tedesco and Boyle are both known for performing shows around the Ames area as solo acts and together on stage. Boyle said they began doing shows together after the two met at an open mic night in Des Moines.
“I was always super impressed by his three-song set at an open mic,” Boyle said. “You could always tell he had this presence of something much more polished than a lot of people.”
The local artists went on a tour together for three weeks, traveling south and to the east coast. They also played at the CMJ festival in New York City, Boyle said.
“Dan’s been touring by himself for years and I had been playing with him in his Des Moines shows, and he asked me if I wanted to go with him on that three-week run and add something new to his show,” Boyle said.
The two plan on bringing folk, rock and even blues to the stage on Friday. Boyle said both will play their own set and that he will also join Tedesco on stage, performing like they did during their tour.
“I know Dan hasn’t’ played a full-on solo show at DG’s, so it will be fun to see people who haven’t seen me for years to see what I’ve been doing with him,” Boyle said.
