A female resident living in Frederiksen Court is recovering after falling from a third floor bedroom window early Thursday morning.

Iowa State Police responded to a medical assist call at Frederiksen Court around 3 a.m. Thursday morning, according to a release from ISU PD. A female resident called police after hearing a woman calling for help outside of her apartment building.

The caller went to assist the woman, who had fallen from a window in her apartment. When police arrived, the woman was conscious and alert but had injuries that required her to be transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center.

The woman told ISU PD that her elevated bed was directly in front of her bedroom window, which was open at the time of her fall.

There does not appear to be drugs or alcohol involved, according to police, and at this time, it appears that this fall was accidental in nature.
