An individual reported being sexually assaulted in a residence hall Friday.

The ISU Police Department’s daily log of incidents from Friday stated that an individual reported being sexually assaulted in a residence hall room. It was reported at the Student Services Building at 11:19 a.m., according to the log, but the assault took place approximately six months ago.

This incident follows an individual requesting resources regarding a sexual assault Wednesday. ISU Police said Friday that the incident, which also took place in a residence hall, was reported by a third party, but the victim did not want to share any information with the police.

A Timely warning email, usually sent to ISU students to comply with the Clery Act after incidents take place on campus, was not sent out for Wednesday’s report or the incident Friday.

The Des Moines Register reported that emails were not sent out because of a lack of specific information on the incidents.
