Resources regarding a sexual assault were requested of ISU Police Department Wednesday afternoon.

ISUPD log of incidents for Wed., March 2, stated an officer met with an individual to provide resources regarding sexual assault.

The incident was reported at the Mary Greenley Medical Center on Duff Ave. at 2:57 p.m.

The incident reportedly occurred at Larch Residence Hall, however, “police were unable to confirm the location,” The Des Moines Register reported Friday.

Aaron Delashmutt, interim assistant vice president and chief of police, told the Register that officers met with the victim at Mary Greeley Medical Center, but the person didn’t want to speak with officers, except to learn information of resources available.

The report of the assault was made by a third party and the victim did not wish to share information with the police, the Register reported.
