Cam to perform at Iowa State

American country singer and songwriter Cam will perform at Iowa State at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union. Doors open at 7 p.m.

ISU student tickets are $18 and tickets for the general public are $28. Tickets are available for purchase at the M-Shop Box Office and can also be purchased over the phone at 515-294-8349.  

California Cam Ochs, better known as Cam, has encountered a great amount of fame in a relatively short period of time.

After releasing her EP “Welcome to Cam Country” in March 2015, her most well-known song “Burning House” became a hit single. This song earned her recognition, as well as a Grammy nomination at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Her full-length album “Untamed” was released in December 2015 and ranked No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.

Cam has been involved in the music industry for several years. She has been climbing her way to the top since 2010, working with various other artists and labels. She is also known for working with pop star Miley Cyrus and is credited for writing “Maybe You’re Right” off of Miley’s chart topping album Bangerz.”
