Cyclone Hockey holds off Robert Morris

Cyclone Hockey outlasts Robert Morris 3-1

Cyclone Hockey hit the road for the first time in two months against Robert Morris looking to bounce back from last weekends sweep at the feet of Central Oklahoma.

The Cyclones took care of business Friday night, beating the Eagles 3-1.

Both teams stayed off the scoreboard for the entire first period despite a couple power play opportunities both ways.

Then the Eagles scored after the Cyclones missed a shot on the post, sending the puck all the way down the ice leading to a goal for Tim Prinz.

Robert Morris took the 1-0 lead but ten minutes later, Tony Uglem tied it back up on a power-play-goal in the second period.

The Cyclones then took the lead 2-1 on another power-play-goal courtesy of Colton Kramer off an assist from Trevor Sabo.

That would clinch the game for the Cyclones but Uglem added his second goal of the game on an empty-net goal with two seconds remaining to give Cyclone Hockey the 3-1 win.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
