The Breckenridge Group Ames Iowa LLC has filed a dismissal in the lawsuit against the City of Ames regarding a zoning disagreement.

According to a press release from the City of Ames, a settlement was reached between the Breckenridge Group and the City as of July 2015. 

“Since that time, both parties have taken steps to complete obligations under that agreement required by Jan. 15, 2016,” the press release said. “The dismissal represents the end of this litigation.”

The lawsuit was first filed by the Breckenridge Group against the City of Ames in 2014.

Breckenridge purchased three properties in 2012 in order to build housing intended for students. The group disagreed with the City of Ames, according to the release, on the design of the properties.
