Hillary Clinton returning to Iowa State Saturday with Gabby Giffords

Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speaks  at an organizing event Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Benton Auditorium. She stated that this election serves as a turning point for our nation’s future. “The economy does better when we have a democrat in the White House,” she said.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will make a stop at Iowa State University this Saturday during the final weekend of campaigning before the Iowa Caucus.

Former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., and her husband, Nasa Astronaut Mark Kelly, will join Clinton at the event. Giffords and Kelly have been strong advocates for tighter gun restrictions after Giffords was shot at an event in her district in 2011.

Clinton’s latest stop in Ames will come just a week after she held a campaign rally at Iowa State.
